Best track in the world for me and i know the old timers will hurumph at that. Im going with Toprak for the treble unless he either falls off or has a mechanical. "Mad" how theyve managed to clash wsb and opening round of bsb an hours time difference apart but i think there's another thread on that. Should be a cracker if it stays dry!!!
WSBK I can only see practice 1&2 on Eurosport 2 on Friday 09:15 & 13:55. Live racing on Saturday 09:30 & 12:30 but nothing on Sunday. BSB opening round is in Spain….not sure what part of Britain that’s in! On Eurosport 2 Saturday 15:00 then on Quest from 11:00 on Sunday.
Yeh my schedule says we've got a whole day of wsb and bsb from 9:30 - 6pm on Saturday but currently showing a whole day of the snooze fest that's endurance racing on Sunday, could easily change though knowing how utterly shit the user experience is with Virgin Media.
It seems to be a bit damp (and rain "playing havoc" in supersport) which is kind of making me glad i didnt make the effort to ride out there now Toprak fastest in FP1 The top six from WorldSBK Free Practice 1, full results here: 1. Am i allowed to boo a current world champion? The top six from WorldSBK Friday running at Assen, full results here: 1. Alvaro Bautista (Aruba.it Racing - Ducati) 1’35.473s 2. Jonathan Rea (Pata Prometeon Yamaha) +0.449s 6. Nicolo Bulega (Aruba.it Racing - Ducati) +0.468s
One of the luckiest and most dubious wins in history surely. Another lap and he’d have been lucky to be inside the top ten at the end of it. Fair play for seemingly being the only rider to choose intermediates. Seemed an odd decision at the time for me but proven correct if not for the red flag. https://www.worldsbk.com/en/news/20...ace+1+after+intermediate+tyre+gamble+pays+off
It’s a great track, the weather is always a variable there. Topraks move on Bautista was so so committed. I bet as he was braking he could almost taste the hospital food
Thanks that really helpful as it doesn’t look like they’re showing full races on repeat this week either. Shame they didn’t announce it a bit earlier though. Discovery plus twats, hopefully the new owners sort that mess out. I wonder how many watched 24 hours straight of world endurance lol.
Holy crap what a race and what an absolute superstar WSB has in TR. Had me comparing it to edwards bayliss at imola (my favorite race ever) it was so good. Proper goose bump stuff. Get the yanks promoting him and acosta amongst "the youth of today" properly and motorcycling will be safe for a very long time.
60k+ attendance this weekend better than half the moto gp rounds. Looking forward to Donny now. I think there could be more.
I gather that the sprint race was a Ducati 1-2 based on final race grid positions. Wonder if that will be shown?

6 times world champion Jonathan Rea cant be a happy bunny getting absolutely whalloped by Remy Gardner right now. (Was good to see Remy on the podium too)
