Greetings fellow Bikers! I recently switched to a modern bike, a 2021 MTS 950S. I still have my ST2 from 2003, and the Triumph TR6R from 1967, which I have owned for the last 40 years. During that period I've also had a 1998 916SPS, and 900SS, both I bought new...and a number of Japanese bikes... I've been able to do some trips on the 950S already this spring, but winter has hit back and currently weather conditions are not the most suitable for 2-wheelers up here on Latitude 63 (northern Sweden)... Last photo shows the delivery of the 950S...conditions are slightly better now...
Thanks! I haven't tried that (yet...), but I've tried the Triumph in the snow. Unfortunately I have aftermarket Dunlop K70 on it, and they are dangerous in the snow...no friction whatsoever! I suppose a lot of plastic is mixed into the rubber, I guess the K70'ies are manufatured in the far east...
Thanks! Yes, the dealer had it shipped to me with a huge truck, too big to be able to reverse into my property during the winter conditions. The local road here is simply too narrow for the truck to turn in wintertime.
It may not be as far as one would think... Every winter a race on a frozen lake is taking place in Sweden, with cars, motorcycles...and all kinds of home built vehicles... Here are the results from March this year...note the speeds on ice...also with bikes! http://www.speedweekend.se/
