Considering nearly every village I ride through has a high vis vest wearing scarecrow holding a speed gun I’d say my speculation is correct. You’d just like to believe the Police should be elsewhere whilst you ride as you wish without regard for other road users as you find the risk to your licence a little too much sometimes.
Ah, I see you are “guessing” again. You don’t know anything about me, apart from me wanting the Police to attend to serious matters, that don’t create revenue. Are you a member of the force, by any chance?
No you just prefer they aren’t bothering your hooning activities but won’t fess up. I am certainly not in the force, I’m not a great fan of the Police but I accept the risk that I may lose my licence when out riding and have no gripe that they should be elsewhere whilst I ride not always within the law allegedly. There are a few times I’ve had items stolen but that’s on me for not protecting my property sufficiently. I don’t expect the Police to be guarding me and my possessions 24/7 do you?
Again, you don’t know me and so can’t comment on my “activities”. Please stop “guessing”. The reality is, it’s you that is out “hooning”. Not everything that is stolen is insufficiently protected, like in your cases. You must realise that? I would hope that the Police would see themselves as a deterrant, certainly, and act accordingly.
If it’s stolen it’s insufficiently protected, how else is it stolen. I’m afraid we’ll not agree on this as our beliefs are too far apart. Bye
Finally received a planter/trellis combo for the garden first thing this morning. It’s now all built and planted up
Been looking at buying another BMW R1150, not sure I want to be putting 1,000mike a week on my van. I did consider buying a Fugly but not sure it could take a pounding like that.
My mate used to own the pub in Devon where the book was written. We go there a few times a year, it’s brilliant.
Booked most of the hotels for our Euro trip in 3 weeks. As we’re not interested in 400 mile days any more, it was quite easy to plot a simple route. I don’t normally book hotels in advance on these trips, but we’ve got a couple of days off the bike to visit the Porsche museum in Stuttgart, and several vineyards in Puligny Montrachet, so it made sense to just book it all now.
So far this morning I have dealt with about a dozen bots trying to join the forum, surfed the net for a while, took the dog for a walk, vacuumed the downstairs floors throughout, made a cuppa, done a few bits of ironing, and filled in my postal votes for the local police commissioner and local mayor positions. All while Doris has been knocking the zzzzzzz’s out.
Went to John Lewis to buy 3 new lampshades for the front room. Spent £650. Now need to go somewhere else to find 3 lampshades for the front room.
Have any of your Police Commissioner candidates leafleted or door-knocked you? Heard absolutely nothing from the 4 candidates down here.
