  2. Still waiting for the forks to be done seems to be taking ages , steering damper and samcos ordered though.

  3. Forks are done, pick um this week, if my oz wheels don't sell I'm putting them on this.

  4. Sat here thinking I need to build the spare 996 into a track bike and sell the 748/853 bits to pay for it

  8. Is there a noticeable difference between the stock steering damper and the Ohlins damper?
     
  9. Arguably because the Öhlins is adjustable and perceived as a better product, when the situation arises that the steering damper is needed, yes. In practical terms, for the majority of riders who don’t put themselves at the performance level where a steering damper is essential, probably not. It’s the same with a slipper clutch, not every rider is going to put themselves in the situation where the rear wheel is going to lock up on down shifting. Horses for courses :D Andy

  10. Adjustable damper is really quite useful. Especially if you ride shitty uk roads then take on a smooth EU road or track
