Without looking at the actual bike, I couldn't tell you what is supposed to be there, if anything

The image looks like it is fixed to the bottom yoke, as the fork clamp is clear on the left of the pic

 

It’s a plastic clamp that holds the brake line against the bottom yoke, just looked on my 899 and it’s the same

 

My track bikes are pampered beyond belief with all fluids and filters changed after every event. An ex-race bike should be similar as no one wants a mechanical to ruin their weekend.
I would be inclined to learn from the knowledge offered here, be patient and find one closer to home where the pressure to come home with something after a long round trip will not sway the decision.

 

That clamp held on with 2 bolts?

The one circled looks like one stud and nut, with a broken looking part being held in place

 

Id get a photo of mine but I’ve just put it away, one bolt clamps the brake line the other clamps the line for the front wheel sensor and that broken looking part is just a rough bit of plastic, well it is on my 899 anyway.

 

Spend thousands on an exotic superbike, and they can't even be bothered to smooth the plastics out

 

Just had a look on the parts catalogue the bottom one is a locating stud and top one is a bolt, the rough plastic bit is still a rough plastic bit
