Horseshoe bend, Paige Arizona. I also saw a Tesla cyber truck (possibly the ugliest thing I’ve ever seen) and added my opinion…
Thinking of the experiences of a good friend having been involved with several concept cars, i'm getting strong Déjà vu here. Like them or loathe them, the image of Tesl@ vehicles in general, rolled out by Eberhard and Tarpenning in a very slick manner as regards design and production, is in danger of being tainted and to some degree even cancelled out (imfo). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tesla_Cybertruck On April 17, 2024, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration announced that Tesla had recalled all 3,878 Cybertrucks sold as of that date to fix an accelerator pedal pad that could come loose and get lodged in the interior trim, causing the car to unintentionally accelerate.[12][107][108]
Not me...but my darling better half. After many years of car scrapes, dings and dunches.. (Even one year parking almost vertical in a ditch) My wife has finally come up with a new one... She managed to crash her car when she wasn't even in it. Got out of it, went into a shop...didn't put the handbrake on, it rolled into the road and someone crashed into it.
After lots of electrical testing and a bit of head scratching, bit the bullet and adapted my brand-new spare controller with a bit of fiddly soldering that used to be a doddle 40 years ago. this was the final test on my faulty E-bike, and sure enough, it was the controller, so happy that bike will be working again at last. Must've done around 2000 miles on it so can't complain.
Honestly it was one of the ugliest things I’ve seen, looks like it was designed by a three year old. I also liked these guys trying out another problem with it https://twitter.com/crawf34/status/1786102215511331014?t=Cq9EUhkK-p8tlqoC_dUWvw&s=08
Ride in the Devils Staircase area today. An experience that will be with me for a very long time. Such beautiful, unspoiled by humans landscapes, that are getting harder and harder to find. Then Riding in the general Rhayader Built Well Brecon roads. What a day!
Going on reports I've seen, Teslas are poorly made, (thus) very overpriced, and have the worst accident record (per 1000 vehicles) on US roads. Not to mention that the autopilot bullshit is on a par with Boeing's regard for safety.
