  1. What on earth do you touring types put in your panniers when you just go for an afternoons pottering around?
    Kettle? Spare teeth? TV?

  4. I see a guy on a GS most mornings and he has a top box, panniers and also wears a rucksack. God knows what he carries everyday for the need to wear a rucksack

  5. Keys for all the other paraphernalia perhaps...

TBF... panniers are probably left on cus it's such a pain taking 'em off and then trying to find somewhere to store them.

  10. I’m about to go out today with panniers for the first time since getting my Multi Gran Turismo back in November. I won’t be carrying anything in them, but they’re for storing all my riding gear while I go for a run at my destination: they’re just about big enough to fit my suit, boots, helmet etc while I’m away from the bike. The GT panniers are comedy massive and I am thinking of looking around to see if there are smaller options for every day use as you absolutely cannot filter with them.

  11. I assume you mean the wide fuckers? I've got the standard panniers on my 1260 GT. I also have a spare set with the mounts broken off (from a previous bike that was stolen, fuckers ripped the panniers off).

No idea how I'd ship them over from the NL without a large cost though.

  12. Thanks but I don’t think they’re the same. They might fit a 1200DVT but mine is the previous version from 2014. I would like to see about getting some smaller ones though. Were there any aftermarket ones that fit the mounts, made by GIVI perhaps?
