As title. Curious what has happened to lamb chops hyper? I know he sen the barrels off to be coated and they got lost in the post. But the last vlog he done he said they was insured so picked up some others. He had some goodies to go on it to. But that was the last one he done on it and nothing else has happened.
When it all kicked off i had a few PM's from him - offered some advice along with some neat gizmo's and gadgets to add (like my LED running lights in the handguards) - not heard anything since...
yeah he mentioned u in a few of his vids. Maybe he’s sold the bits on and wiped his hands of it? Shame. Owning the same bike I liked watching them
I’ve watched him on YouTube. Does some great reviews. In fact he’s partially responsible for the fact there’s now a beefy KTM SDR sitting in my garage right now. Bravo!!
Yeah, I really like it. Comfortable, super torquey, daft bike and lots of fun. Got a V4S for track. The SDR certainly covers all other bases, and some….
No, it was very low miles gen 2. Original buyer bought it and basically didn’t use it. It’s 2017 I think. Unsurprisingly it was like brand new!
Ironically I brought mine virtually exactly the same time he posted the first vid. Just as he’s finally finishing the build I’ve put mine up for sale
Nice looking bike @Felstmiester and GLWTS I've enjoyed watching Lamb Chop's Hyper videos, hopefully he'll get it finished this year! I've been thinking about giving my M821 a good going over in the next year or so, maybe spending money on loads of bling, getting certain things refinished etc. He's given me a lot to think about.
Ironically my chain snapped damaging the gearbox a couple of weeks after buying mine. The timing was spot on as it was just as Chops was stripping his so like you I picked up tips from the vids. Things like I was able to make a puller for the swing arm spindle as in his vids. Only thing I regret. Is although while the engine was out I gave it a good clean & paint & to be honest it looks pretty good, I wish I’d of had time to get the bits Cerakoted like he did. I just didn’t want the long strung out build. I did however spend £3,000 on the engine build alone. I did have a few extras thrown in along the way such as ported heads etc. the bearings & gasket’s came to just over 1k. It’s been a fantastic bike to be honest, & over the last 4 years I’ve enjoyed tinkering & making it my own. I’ve recently got back from a trip over France ( I know the hyper isn’t ideal for touring ) it done bloody well up against a few of my mates new 1290 superduke gen 3’s as well as a few other modern bikes that came out there with us.
let’s not get into the details, but it was actually totally down to me It was what it was at the time & although I didn’t do any of the engine build myself I did totally strip the bike just like Chops did. And i enjoyed that. Gave me chance to put right all the little scabby bits I probably wouldn’t have done if it didn’t happen. Plus the fact now the engine work & tuning has been done it’s a different animal. That’s if u can call a bike that’s got less than 100bhp an animal The damage.
Great that he got it going again. I watched this series last year and was just waiting for him to upload more parts - though I notice the bike isn’t on the road yet so I hope it is not the end and we will see it completed and with a road test.
