Oh! great ones. Does anyone know if there is such a thing as a bulb kit for my above mentioned Multi? I contacted my local main dealer who said they don't do them. I believe the lamps are mostly LED's so is there such a thing and where can you get it form. Thank you.
From my understanding the main lights are one fixed unit? You can buy the whole assembly (here for example). And there seems to be plenty of kits for the halogen bulbs on the bike.
Just buy them as you need them, not needed for travel to Europe anymore (if that’s what you wanted it for)
According to the workshop manual the 1260s, Pikes Peak and D-Air models are LED throughout. The base model is the same with the exception of the headlights which take 4x H11 12v 55w bulbs, 2 for low, 2 for high beam. NB. The USA models have rear indicators with RY10W amber (12v 10w) bulbs. With LED lighting on a vehicle spare bulb kits are not a practical, or financial, proposition.
Do you have a digital copy of the workshop manual? I could do with getting my hands on a wiring diagram. Cheers.
Let's say you drive a 2020 Multi 950, you could search for something like "LED bulb kit for 2020 Multi 950" on sites like Amazon or eBay.
I just checked the parts for a 2019 1260. As already stated the headlight, if it's LED, is a sealed unit, you can't change the bulbs. Ditto the tail light. The front indicators in the handguards are seperate but they're also sealed LED units, no bulbs. It doesn't show bulbs for the rear indicators so I'd assume LED also.
As above; it's all LED lighting on European models for all but the base model, that has halogen headlights, not LED. US models are the same except the rear indicators that are regular RY10W amber (12v 10w) bulbs.
Thanks everyone for your help. You are quite correct there is no such thing for the 1260. You can now close this thread thanks.
