Any idea if I can fit a 200/60/17 to the multistrada? Stock size is 190/55/17! It looks like there’s enough clearance but interested to know if anyone’s tried it! Thanks
oh really! That’s interesting, that’s exactly what I was going to do! That’s a bugger!when you say like a barge I’m guessing you mean it wouldn’t turn? I’m really surprised at that but better you tried it than me
I had Pirelli Superbike tyres left over when I retired the Panigale from the track. True to my Yorkshire schooling , the tyres got put on my track prepared Multistrada 1200 Sport. Got 2 days out of them at Almeria before they needed changing and I went back to a 190/55/17 Metzeler Racetec K3 and was immediately 4 seconds a lap faster. If you don’t ride engaging roads enthusiastically, then that’s a different scenario in which a 200/60 might be fine for someone else, just not me. Andy
Yep, the Michelin Road5 190/55 I had fitted had a few marks on the outer most edge, where the profile met the sidewall. Depends on tyre brand. Not sure what difference a 200/60 is going to make on actual width as, IIRC, the numbers are relative.
200/60 R17 is 10cm wider than 190/55 R17 according to this calculator. Would definately have problems with the chain if correct.
Thanks guys, decided to stick with the stock Pirelli scorpions, not like it’s my race bike and to be honest I’ve had the scorpions on their ears without any issues! Was only as I’ll be popping some slicks on the v4 so got some virtually new supercorsa sp’s !
