  2. No not on this trip. This is just me and the wife getting away in the camper van for few nights
We are having a family holiday over in Sligo at the beginning of August, that’s when the bodyboard championships begin!
    Wetsuits will be de rigueur.

  4. On this occasion you appear to have missed the point entirely. Thats OK with me BTW.

  5. Booked the alloys on the A2 for a refurb so thought some new wheel centre caps would be the order of the day but.... sheesh 160 sovs for a set of four. Nearly as much as the wheels are gonna cost.

So decided to refurb the centre caps meself and have taken them back to their component parts, cleaned them, removed the lacquer and will spray them up in due course.

  6. Taken the dogs out twice, both times got soaked through, and this morning i had my winter bomber on and freezing cold hands, in the middle of June.
Its grass seed season and had a shit day at work too.
    Apart from that not much.

  9. Checked the place out in Spain to see if it was up to par for the summer. A nice way to spend a couple of weeks.

  12. What's the problem with the toilets; seemed plenty when we were there last week?

My venue issue was with the £3.80 cans of Pepsi!!

  13. Yep... lovely short bit of road. My mother lives in Lechlade so I've ridden it many times and I recall approaching a right hander at err... speed and gaining great respect for a Guzzi V50 as it managed the corner without me even watching... :D

Although look out for pheasants. Her partner nearly came a cropper when one flew up and struck his brake lever. It was only the fact the bike had ABS that he didn't become a cropper.

  14. Wantage to Hungerford is a great road, ruined by the 50mph limit. And the roads through the valley of the racehorse are also pretty special.

  15. Gonna spend the day with my feet higher than my bum on the sofa. Still recovering from South Downs Way walk, finished the 100 miles at 11pm Sunday night after 5 days...having walked for 17 hours that last day, never been so shattered (and I've done plenty of other grueling hikes)

Ps. Found out the record is 14 hours 15 minutes....for the whole damn thing :sob::sob::sob:

  17. I have been waiting since January this year for the DVLA to renew my driving licence, having reached the ripe old age of 70. I phoned them yesterday to ask about progress but was just told, the information they requested from my GP had been scanned in on May 4th (no, don’t, just don’t) and the DVLA medical team will contact me when the review process is either completed or they require further information. By coincidence, I found out this morning, I have access to my medical records through the NHS App. From the most recent information entered by my GP, the DVLA asked her specifically about Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy. Looking back at my driving licence medical review form, I declared I’d had heart function reviews at the age of 50 and again at 60 because my mother passed away from HCM but despite both reviews finding nothing abnormal, the commercial doctor who carried out the medical, appears to have put a tick the wrong f*cking box  I can see this running on and on and I just hope this doesn’t affect my trip through Spain and France in 3 months time. Andy

  18. I'm confident that my POV was plain and clear to anyone who read it, as was my last comment addressed directly to yourself.

  19. On a happier note, after a month, a high top Transit load and about 40 one meter cubed builder's bags of green waste, I finally feel I've made progress.

This, is about 60% of my garden that is in the process of being recovered from having been wild for a number of years. I now have space to build by 6m x 5m man cave :D Andy
