Hi Guys Having a new red pressure plate installed on the 998 to pretty it up, and looking for an open Ducati Branded if possible cover, in carbon ideally. Anyone know where I could get one or could recommend one? I saw a lovely one on a 748R on my last trip to Italy, so the same thing but for my 998 would be great. Cheers
Looks like this if you must … https://www.carbon4us.com/en/carbono/3102-open-clutch-cover-ducati-performance.html
It fits the 998. EBay is your friend. There was one on earlier today as a package with DP hugger, mudguard etc for 200 Euros. I tried to find it for you but it’s sold - you have to be quick. It will indeed fit the 998. Good luck.
Here’s the one I have on my 916. Very nice indeed but won’t protect your clutch if the bike falls on its right flank, and I had to add a more « period correct » sticker on it. But it shows the nice DP pressure plate for sure!
I was going to put an advert for this one that I'm selling if you are interested? - Ducati Performance Anodized billet aluminum slotted clutch cover
That’s the exact look I wanted and what I’ve ordered. Where did you get the little period correct sticker from! EBay?
Thank you, but wanted the carbon look as the bike has a fair bit of carbon on it already. Thanks though.
On the web, yes, most likely on EBay, even though I don’t remember for sure. I was able to get a set of 3.
A word to the wise, carbon clutch covers do not give the clutch any protection in the event of a right hand side crash...
