  1. Evening all, I’m Tom, nearly 40 and from Glastonbury and having a mid life crisis I wasn’t looking to get back in to biking, I sold my k9 GSXR1000 3 years ago after falling out of love with biking after a mate was nearly killed on our last ride out

then Friday just gone, me, the missus and kids were away for the weekend, they was boring me so after necking far to many ciders, I found myself looking at bikes , somehow I bought a 2014 hyperstrada , collected it this afternoon, only had a quick ride earlier, not going to lie, will take some getting used to . I’ve already order a Mivv exhaust (nearly new eBay bargain for £120)

just need to go leather shopping now as those ciders have caused my old leathers the shrink some how .
    Look forward to getting back

  3. Welcome.
I've had 3 hyperstradas, great bikes.
If you find the clutch a bit on/off, the clutch from the 939 is a great upgrade.

  4. Greetings!

Thank god for boring wives & kids...

  10. and so it begins

  11. Always begins and never bloody ends lol

next plan is to get the clutch cover painted as paints lifted a little which is a shame as the rest of it is perfect for its age

do you know if there’s a diagnostic system that can be bought for them, being a lorry mechanic, I love to have a fiddle and like to have my own diagnostic kit, got it for cars and commercials but nothing for bikes.
    Cheers

  12. next purchase is a private plate, its registered on a Northern Ireland plate, which isn’t really an issue but I’d rather one that dosent get me constantly associated with a caravan dweller (friends are already calling me a pikey )

  14. There's a thread on here called something like 'ODBStar users', which would be worth a look. It's a £400-ish diagnostic tablet that many here use...
I've got one, but haven't needed to plug it in to my Hyper yet!

  15. it does never end too

i can always always find something that needs doing

need a panel bolt £4.94 and a washer £0.36, and they need to be ordered in or pay £8.99 postage from italy
