Blowing up the photographs the engine cases comfirm the real mileage or perhaps poor storage or living by the sea air could change one's complexion.

I've just realised your XH558 tag is the to do with last flying Avro Vulcan....thought is was some sort of baby Harley Davidson model before ;-)

 

There's nothing wrong with that 883cc bike, but the 1200cc would be a little better.

I believe XH558 was the last Vulcan to fly, but you’re right it’s only allowed to taxi on the runway now.

I think it’s sad that in this day and age we “don’t have the expertise” to keep any of those airworthy. Guess they mean they won’t spend the money…

I saw one years ago at Greenham Common - magnificent.

 

I remember seeing one fly over my primary school around 1982, pretty sure around time of the Falklands conflict.
