  1. Et Tu Fairy, I’d have thought you’d be cheering them on regardless.

    oh well, just me.

  2. Of course I’ll cheer them on, I’m English!!

But I’m a bit long in the tooth to be getting all tribal Neanderthal about it. Seen it all before :D

  4. With that daft haircut Foden looks like he should be fighting at Agincourt rather than playing in the Euros

So, he can press at home but can’t press when he’s on the bloody football pitch

  6. Doesn’t look sturdy enough to be swinging a bill hook. Likes a spot of carp fishing apparently… takes all sorts eh? :D

  7. « Azincourt », not « Agincourt ». The good damn place is called Azincourt. With a Z.

Do you know why you guys call it wrong, by the way?

  8. I don’t know why we spell it wronz, no…..

  9. Just told the missus she is the Gareth Southgate equivalent with pizza: she takes perfectly good product that is made to just go in the oven and come out crispy, adds lots of shit stuff to it so it comes out soggy and needing a knife and forks. Yes it’s food. Yes it’s functional. But it’s shit experience in eating.

  10. I read in a rather serious book that it was because of the way your king back then (Henry V) was pronouncing it, due to a bad wound received at the battle of Shrewsbury (1403, so 12 years before Azincourt). He actually got an arrow shot in the face.

You guys should stop brownnosing your royalty. That’s unhealthy and dangerous. :D

  11. I didn’t know that interesting little factoid, but I did know about his arrow wound and in fact, I listened to an entire podcast about the barber surgeon who removed it and the extraction tool he invented in order to do so.

  12. Yep, historians believe any commoner would never have survived such a wound. They would have been left for dead… Harsh times.

  13. Are you wearing the pizza now?

  16. You can only really be cheering the result as the actual playing of the game(s) isn’t the greatest now is it?

  17. She’s in the spare room anyway with a fan on…it’s the cooler side of the house so I ‘suffer alone’ in the normal bedroom ;)

I got away with it I think because I shovelled 2t of stone today for the front garden which meant it was done when she got him ;)
