  6. I saw a bit of that recently I think. Where Robert Shaw is on the train?

  7. That's the one - 1963  In the tight confines of a railway carriage & it really does look like they are trying to kill each other.

  9. IMO, the first Daniel Craig effort, Casino Royale, is one of the best Bonds as he has a cold, sociopathic quality, which is how the character was written in the original Fleming books.

  11. Minus one point for the silly karate chop, but plus 10 points for when he pulled Shaw’s jacket down over his arms, as I saw one of my mates carry out that same move on a fighty pissed up squaddie in a pub in Windsor c.1989. However, my mate executed it much better than Bond as he yanked the jacket right down to the guys elbows, pinning his arms to his sides, before giving him a gentle shove in the chest that sent him over onto his back, almost in slow motion, while his hands flapped impotently, like a penguin having a panic attack. It was one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen.

  12. Agree with you there & the stairwell fight he has is almost as good as the train carriage one.

  13. Ha-ha-ha - it's just as funny in the imagining...

Yeah, karate chops were all the rage in '63 - sheesh that's as old as me...

  14. Makes me LOL every time

  15. Speaking of Robert Shaw….

Apparently, that spine-tingling monologue was ad libbed. It’s also a true story.

  20. Remember seeing this at the cinema for the first time and proper jaw drop moment, the scene where they see the diplodocus for the first time
