939 Hyperstrada Road To Race Shift, Anyone Done It?

Discussion in 'Hypermotard' started by Dibble, Jun 27, 2024.

  1. Finding very little info, anyone managed it?

  2. I’m sure I did it.
    Had Gecko Racing rear sets

  3. You need a man to sort that…..I’m disappointed you even had to ask

  4. So whats the answer 'my man' ???

  5. Just looked at my 939 and the pedal pivot is really close (~75mm) to the gearchange shaft. I'd say it's impossible to alter the orientation without mounting the pegs/lever further back...

  8. Hyper 939 doesn’t have that type of frame nor does it have the distance between the footrest and gear spindle to accommodate that set up. Sorry to be a killjoy. Andy

  9. Apologies for thread interruption, I really should have said it wasn’t a proposed solution to OP’s dilemma, but a clever fix for a similar issue.

Photos taken at Spa Bikers Classic where they have a round of the Classic Endurance Championship. This set up caught the eye because it was an engineered solution to having a race shift-familiar rider partnering a road shift-only rider, where changing gear shift pattern needed to be done in an instant as those two riders swapped over.
