Monster/Monster+ Is The 937 Any Good?

Discussion in 'Monster' started by Skyman, Jun 27, 2024.

  1. Trying one tomorrow, to add to my SFV4S - to accompany my son on newly qualified rides - he has a Trident 660. Good choice?

  2. Definitely. I was smitten after test riding a basic model, so bought the Anniversario.

  3. Yes, love mine, I’ve done 13000 miles over the last three years, the last 1700 were a ten day trip round Germany.

Great bike, confidence inspiring and loads of fun!

  4. Only been on mine once so far but it rides lovely. I had a KTM 890R previous to this and that had to be the best handling bike I have ever had and I have had a fair amount of bikes !
The monster rides very similar and feels light and flickable. The bars are a little lower so a bit more weight on the wrists but nothing uncomfortable.
I have the SP with the Ohlins which is a bit firm but I can set that up.
It is quite tall at 840mm seat height, well it is for me.
Gearbox feels smooth already, brakes seem good, exhaust quite quiet.
Paint is lacquered, well it is on the SP. Even my v2 Streetfighter wasn’t lacquered so that’s a nice thing.

  5. Well that was easy.

  6. We’ll certainly see you coming!
    Congratulations enjoy :upyeah:

  7. Thanks. Python Yellow, it really pings in the daylight.

  8. A limited production run by Ducati of a replacement panel set.

  9. @Skyman
The engine is fine. It's just the cheap suspension. Improve that with an Ohlins or K-Tech upgrade and you'll have an awesome bike.

  12. Very much so.

  13. No-one seems to have mentioned the red stripe on the wheels. They’ll be history on my Pikes Peak at the next tyre change. Andy

  14. Must say it does look good in yellow.

I know Ducati have just released the Senna version in yellow for silly money but they need to put the standard bike in yellow next year.

  15. Why? At least they match the rest of the bike on the Pikes Peak.
