No easy answer to that question, new or used ? Lived with a 2015, 803cc Icon for probably 5 or 6 years and having ridden that and the 1100cc, I was disappointed with the 1100. IMO and most 1100cc owners will disagree with me, Ducati missed an opportunity. The 803cc is under powered and has shit suspension but is way more fun to ride. Can only offer an opinion on the 937 Monster which again, in basic trim, suffers from poor suspension and it should have had the 959 V2 engine but that said an absolute hoot to ride after a few tweaks. The Scrambler is an everyday, go anywhere hack whereas the 937 Monster is, IMO, better suited to longer rides and touring (despite the lack of luggage). Andy
I think it has to be Monster, although I don't really like the looks of the latest version, it's getting good reviews for riding handling and performance. depending on what size engine you want Ivor, as Andy says, the 800 scrambler did capture something, and I was even looking for a 400 for a while but appeal somehow lost on the bigger one.
Thanks both, genuinely asking for a friend, he's too shy to come on here but is watching the discussion
You can get a suspension lowering kit and low seat for the 937 Monster, takes the rider’s seat height to 775mm. Maxton do a front fork cartridge kit which is obviously more expensive than the Ducati kit but you get a better and adjustable front suspension. Andy
