  4. Was this done with proper spray kit or rattle cans?

  5. Rattle cans. I have had a lot of practice. In fact two chaps who ran a car bodyshop I met at a track day could not believe I had sprayed my own fairings the finish was so good.

  6. I must admit, more from an achievement perspective than anything else, I really do fancy spraying the ol' V-Raptor myself when I finally get round to refurbing him. Although I'm not too sure about doing the frame....

I've already done a few bits & bobs and have made all the beginners mistakes and realise prep, more prep & patience are keys to getting a good finish.

  7. Exactly this.

  8. The wife took the youngest down to Motorcycle Select in Hinckley, to collect his bike, after they fixed a couple of things, then, after dinner, me and him went out for a ride, he needs to improve his clutch control, he was on his Aprilia SX50, I was on a ninja 125, putting some miles on it for him, ready for when he can ride it, quite enjoyed pottering about on a little 125 for a change :)

  9. Worked on the 899 brakes again, sealed the threads on the bleed nipples and re bled, definitely air getting in somewhere.
Washed it and the Mt09 and then replaced the air filter on the Nsr even though it doesn’t deserve a second more of my time.
    Pic from Anglesey yesterday.

  10. Connected my OBDStar device to the Hypermotard. Very pleased to see what's possible and even more pleased that I bought this last year from someone on here at about half price:cool:

Happy to help out local owners using this. I haven't needed to subscribe to updates, as my Hyper is 2018, so I reckon anything older than about 2020 would work.

  12. Removed the wobbly wheel hub from my bike trailer, so that I can get the bearings changed

Then, after a trip to Wickes to get an 8' x 4' sheet of 9mm plywood, I cut it in to racking shelf sized pieces, to replace the sagging MDF shelves in the racking in the workshop, and, had a bit of a tidy up whilst I was in there 20240630_160836.jpg 20240630_160847.jpg 20240630_160853.jpg

  14. Changed the oil and seals on my SS's forks. What a nasty smelly job that was.

  15. Yeah... it always amazes me how the oil gets into such a disgusting state....

  17. Great photo i.e. taken at the level of the bike rather than looking down from a standing position.

Dunno what's nicer, the bike or the road/scenery? I suspect it's the combination of the two.
