  7. This is all great to read as I have today bought a DX without test ride
I’ve had MTS 1200, 1260s and Enduro and, after 2 years off bikes, was thinking of another 1260 but went with the DX due to lower weight, enough power and those looks …

  8. If anyone is pondering I had the Duc accessory rear rack fitted to my DX & confirmed that the Sw-motech alloy topbox & mounts from my old Multi V4s fits the mounts on the DX rack as if it were meant for it. IMG_6687.jpeg

  9. New bike day
Loved the opinions and experience on this thread, certainly helped ease the nerves of buying “blind” !
I needn’t have worried, I absolutely love it!
So agile, easily enough power and looks stunning.
Being back on a Ducati feels really special

  12. Its a great bike and probably more 'Multi Strada' than a Multistrada.

  13. Spot on

  14. If you are Twizzle, I’m was 6’4” the last time I got measured (might have shrunk a little with age) and have to move my arse so my thigh is on the seat pad, just to one foot, same with the Hypermotard 698. Not in my comfort zone with a 200+ kilo bike. Andy

  15. I’m 5ft 11. Had the lowering kit fitted to mine and have no problems. On a flat surface I’m nearly flat footed but in any case it’s so much better balanced than the Multistradas, putting down one foot is fine for me. Ducati quote the DDX as 15kg lighter than the V4. It feels loads more than that to me. Plus I get another 20 miles to every gallon of fuel.

  16. I think people need to try em for size . I’m probably 5’10 these days & can manage the DesertX with rally saddle (+20mm?) fine both feet on the floor wearing Adv style boots (Revit Discovery) as it has a slim saddle compared to the lower but wider Mutley V4. It’s lighter weight (compared to a Mutley) also makes it easier to paddle about.
