So i have a nice new shiny 950 SP, so obviously i want to change it. 1. If i keep the standard cans but decatt it, will it still be obnoxiously loud? 2. I assume i would have re map or upmap it. 3. has anyone got a euro 5 decatt pipe? bike has surprised me with the grunt available fairly low down.
1. Yes, without doubt, obnoxiously loud. Stock end cans have no noise mitigation. 2. If you keep the lambda sensors, not necessarily but advisable IMO. 3. Sorry, no. Andy
Pity that. Have got an almost brand new Euro 4 decat(powerworks) I could have sent it with the frame caps. Not sure why they changed the fixing method to clamps instead of springs. Anyone any idea?
Have decated mine with the termi silencers and its not that loud. The baffles are permanently in though unless you want to butcher it.
it's option just that the decatt is relatively cheap mod. One on ebay for euro 5 130 quid (PWR) not that i know of that brand...
PWR is more than likely 'power works racing'. This is the brand I have on mine and the one also I'm selling.Also have the full system on mine. Excellent quality. I hope that's not mine on eBay and I've mistakenly put Euro 5 instead of 4. Will have to check later. My Euro4 decat is in the parts for sale section on here if you want to take a look.
Lots of options on exhaust and decat pipes, Then you have to choose bespoke remap,T800 upmap or one from BHP!! decisions decisions
this is where am at but i dont want to hijack this thread. i asked in my own thread about the salvage RVE. any tips would be appreciated. i am edging closer to the BHP lads because I want to be able to reset the service indicator, plus am only in Leeds
no problem with hijacking.... Need a few more people to comment who have already been through it. If you buy the handheld from BHP do you have to pay for the map as well?
I *think*, you get the map for free with it, but cant say 100%. ive gleaned most the info from the hypermotardkings YT channel
Just called them 499 pounds for the unit and one free map. then 120 per map afterwards. unit locked to bike so you cannot spread the love...
I've got the Akrapovic slip ons, pretty loud but not ear splitting but at certain RPMS a tad annoying. However i have ordered the baffles for it. Once they arrive i will update you.
