Can anyone suggest something that will take these marks of a titanium Akra exhaust not sure what it is possibly burnt in oil these marks were on it when I bought it so not sure how long they r there?
https://www.tesco.com/groceries/en-GB/products/261187154 Contains a tiny amount of hydrochloric acid that makes sort work of cleaning exhausts. I got great results on melted plastic stuck on my exhaust, by using it on a rag and scrubbing the plastic off
10 percent isn't exactly a tiny amount. It will take the stains off alright. Probably the finish as well. Titanium isn't particularly resistant to hydrochloric acid.
Have tried WD40 its on quite thick you can feel the lumps when you run your finger over it don’t really wanna use Scottish rite or something that will make it look worse ♂️
Try a tar removing spray - roofers use it. Or try hot water to soften the marks then a non abrasive wipe
Have you tried getting good and hot and carefully scraping with a sharp-edged wooden spatula? one of those disposable cutlery sets or a lolly stick would serve well.
Success! After trying everything I had in the garage I finally wrapped a cloth soaked in oven cleaner round it for 10mins then a quick wipe with this pink stuff my wife had under the sink at it came right off Thanks for all the replies much appreciated
