Hello all, I’m in the Scottish Highlands and have a 2022 V2 SF. Previous Ducati’ have been 1200 Diavel, 996, 749, 748, 900ss. Had the SF about 4 weeks and noticed that the exhaust note ‘disappears’ somewhere around 3k - 3.4k rpm. Anyone else experiencing this? The exhaust valve seems to working fine through the rest of the rev range. Cheers.
yeah it’s an emissions dip, and it’s super annoying as it comes with a big reduction in power if you are accelerating through it. It’s the valve in the exhaust shutting. I was tempted to get a Healtec exhaust flap delete when I had my V2, but mine was a early Panigale V2 and I had plenty of other niggles that ultimately made me sell it
Thanks, Phil. This is reassuring, but also not at the same time…….Yes, really annoying as it does this at 30mph in 3rd gear which makes town driving a pain… I’ve been looking into getting a slip on exhaust which will ditch the cat but finding it hard to justify the extortionate cost. I’ll look into the healtec flap delete option
@Phill748 Not to hijack the thread, but do you know whether the 'emission dip' is also used on the 2020 Scramblers using the 803 motor?
