Non-desmo. Only top of the range to keep desmo, lower models revert to valve springs. VW Audi would need a lot of persuading to keep desmos.
So I assume some have got a picture of it? is there a small bike (ie replacement for the V2) announced as well or just the new V4 models….
If you have the My Ducati app (and a Ducati Website, My Ducati sign in) you can see a picture. No mention if any other announcements. Andy
Are they having a competition in the design department on how big and ugly they can make the exhaust Hard to say if looks better or worse from those pics. The body colour wings would look better instead of black but depends how big they are I guess as I am still not a fan of them And based on the heat output of my current V4, it needs allot more cooling added to the sides of the fairings, not removing half the vents like that looks to have done
Hmmm…. No single sided swingarm is a biggie for me. Plus of course, it has to go like fuck. I’m off on a laaaads euro gig in October. 4 days Almeria then 3 days Portimao. It’s a self assessment… if all goes well I might get another. If not, I’ll be hanging up the leathers. Pipe and slippers time
Yuk. My next bike was always going to be not a Ducati, this is why. The 1098R and the 1299FE will be worth holding onto if you have one. Meanwhile I still like my 1299s and its a great track bike. I'll prob be there in Oct Fairy, in Inters. Almeria is brilliant.
Apparently 8pm tonight official announcement (Quoted from above so dont shoot messenger if doesnt occur)
they will sell enough to the vloggers and influencers to make it worthwhile I guess. As an 899 owner I don’t really get too hung up on the single sided swingarm. However I just think it’s all a bit ‘boring’ now, bikes don’t seem to be taking a big steps forward anymore, it’s been emperors new clothes for a long while.
