So what have you done today..?

  1. Not a huge amount. We live in a pretty built up area but we have a long back garden where the hives are. I’ll warn you now it’s an expensive hobby! A hive is about £150, frames and foundation wax £50, plus a bee suit, smoker, hive tools (£150). A nucleus of bees (a queen and 5 frames of workers) will cost £200-£250, unless you can find a swarm. Then you need an extractor, labels and jars. So if I’m lucky I break even after about 3 years, either that or charge £30 a jar!

The other thing is you really need to check the hives every 7-10 days during the spring and summer. And the little buggers don’t always do everything by the book.

That said it’s a fun hobby and I love watching the bees go about their business.

  2. Yeah it can be quite stuffy, but I don't really take any notice of anyone else when I'm out tbh.

Not tried SF, don't think I'll bother now then!

  3. Thanks for the info...one for the future!
    Cheers
    Grant

  16. We have similar here. A defibrillator and book swap telephone box. We also have a pillar box topper right next to it.

I do wonder how the hell it doesn’t get nicked!

  17. Bit bored at lunchtime so decided to sort all my golf grips out. New larger ones with couple layers of tape for those I had standard grips on and removed all the bigger grips and regripped with couple layers of extra tape. Worth a crack

  18. Just tried to switch from Virgin to Sky.

Virgin “don’t deal” with Sky so you have to deal with both parties as some kind of non-paid intermediary.

TNT Sports “don’t deal” with Sky so if you already have them via Virgin Media and want to continue watching via Sky you have to wait until Skys hooked up, cancel your old TNT then ask Sky to add/update your package.

What a fucking JOKE trying to watch the telly you pay through the nose for is in this utter shithole of a country.

Dodgy box incoming, fuck them all.:joy::upyeah:
