I've also a couple of spare tanks I'm also wanting shot of, they were in the spares pile when I purchased my 996. Tank #2 Red repainted over yellow. Slightly better overall condition than tank #1 (other advert) when mounted on the bike (yellow invisible on the bottom).
Depending on the age of the tank, it was not unusual for Ducati to respray yellow parts when they ran short of red parts. Andy
I think no rust at all, I boxed it up last year. I should be back with the tank on Wednesday evening, I can open the parcel if you are interested.
Thanks, no rust so has it been sealed ? I am just on with a tank off a 916 trying to clean the inside of the old sealer & it’s driving me mad.
Tiny bit of surface rust around the filler underside, the tank is super clean inside, has what looks like a black smooth finish inside.
