Potential Sale Of My Unique Ducati Panigale R.

Discussion in 'Ducati General Discussion' started by RTD, Aug 8, 2024.

  1. After much agonising and changed circumstances, I am seriously considering selling my unique second generation Ducati Panigale R. This bike was built, owned and used by the Ducati Factory as Ducati Motor Holdings in February 2019, obtained by me through an intermediary in October 2019, and first registered by me in the UK in November 2019. The Certificate of Conformity, Original Factory Registration by Ducati, and the Original Factory Service Record are included. The bike was prepared for use in the UK by Ducati Manchester, it has been serviced by them every year since then, and has covered less than 600 miles in total. It is always kept in a secure garage attached to the house, with a protective cover and has not been used in adverse weather.

The bike has had all notified recalls carried out, has an improved clutch slave cylinder, engine casing, tank and frame protectors, a radiator guard fitted, with all work done by Ducati Manchester, other than that it is totally standard. The accessories originally supplied with the bike are available and include: the full manual set and wallet, all keys with a spare, alternative screen, mirror blanks, DDA unit, and Lithium battery charger. The bike came with partial protective film applied by the factory, which remains in place. I have additional accessories purchased subsequently that are available, and the suspension has been set by an Ohlins agent for my use.

The bike is on Sorn but has a current MoT, which is due for renewal by Ducati Manchester this month.

My original intention was to keep this bike, which is a work of art and is a pleasure just to look at. However, as said, changed circumstances mean I need to reconsider my plans for the bike, and this post is an attempt to gauge possible interest on the forum, before I take any next steps.

I have included some initial photographs of the bike to begin with as it was on delivery. Ducati Panigale R-1 DHS.jpg Ducati Panigale R-2 DHS.jpg Ducati Panigale R-6 DHS.jpg Ducati Panigale R-9 DHS.jpg .

At this point, I have not taken advice about a selling price, and intend to do that in the near future if I decide to continue with the sale.

If any forum members would be interested in this bike, or know of likely interested parties, please contact me to discuss.

    Regards and regretfully,

    Tom.

  2. Alas not a sellers market. What was a 22k bike not long ago are stuck in dealers at sub 18k just ticking over time. Is it tagged as imported? Would also reduce UK price imho.

Best option may be get Duc Manchester to sell on commission? Means finance could be an option and make sale potentially easier?
    Good luck

  7. The problem is, you're target audience is very small compared to the wide spread audience. And the larger audience just sees a panigale tricked out.

I'd suggest working with Ducati Manchester if you want to get anything close to 20k.

  8. I do this quite a lot, shuffling the bikes in and out of my company, they mysteriously depreciate when the company owns them.....
