Here is a pic of my two beauties; a Fortis Flieger Chrono and a regular Flieger. Thought I would share now that I have a matching NOS set.... These were released in 2001 (I'm pretty sure) to commemorate all of Carl Fogarty's WSBK wins. I'm much more of a Troy Bayliss fan and I own a 2001 996R, so since these were in the 2001 Ducati catalogue...when in Rome. These did not appear in the 2002 catalogue. Does anyone know if they were in the 2000 Ducati catalogue? Post up and let's see your Ducati watches!
@92GTA Alex, Here are my two Ducati Fortis watches : 1/ The 2001 World champion Flieger (#0095/2000): 2/ The 1998 WDW watch, which looks like the 916 tachometer: I love those as they are relatively small and flat. Mind you, the WDW one is actually sized for a lady’s wrist. So my wife wears it. Sometimes. If I have been a good boy and asked politely…
These Fortis Ducatis are great—they’ve fewer safety recalls and cheaper servicing than other Ducatis.
Why are you guys such cheapskates? A genuine horology aficionado would wear one of these Ducati timepieces—a snip at only £31k: https://www.visordown.com/news/new-ps31k-ducati-isnt-even-bike
That is expensive and, imho, totally fugly! So I’ll pass. PS: You can get a 916SP, for this kind of money…
Whilst these are watches are obviously collectible, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Not my cup of tea, I’m sure many thank my personal (small) collection isn’t theirs either, but I bought them for my personal enjoyment. Enjoy
Unsurprisingly, Visordown made a mistake with the price. The Gerald Charles Ducati watch doesn’t cost a paltry £31k after all. It costs a more man-sized £40k: https://www.geraldcharles.com/produ...-30-anniversario-916-GC4-0-CF-11?Strap+Size=M Shall we request a group discount for forum members?
