They say that if every RG500 front wheel advertised in MCN back in the day as “ex Sheene” actually was, he would have had to pit for a new wheel every couple of laps just to get through them. Real as in not some chubby road bike.
Interesting (impressive) system using front brake fluid to « damper » excessive fork compression when braking(see additional braided hoses leaving front calipers to fork tubes). I had never seen that. I wonder if it worked well and if it was used on other bikes…
Branching out into cars Aren’t they race prototypes of the anti-dive units on pretty much every early ‘80’s superbike? Pretty sure my GPZ 900R has something very similar, as did FZ750, GSXR750, VF750 etc.
