He's been out of bed and used his walker for a little bit with the physio today , small steps , literally.
Apparently one of these peaks is Mont Blanc. Now in Verona but apparently not near enough to Bolognia to visit .
Can’t get better then when you order a pint abroad and they get the glass out of the freezer and the beer is cold
Nearer to Modena for all its wonderful Balsamic vinegar, food, towers, and Ferrari museum. Also Modena is a unesco world heritage site, but hey those beers look good! Enjoy your break.
It did bloat me out. Digested now and off out for dinner. Don’t think we’re going to get to Modena on this trip either, been there before though. Ferrari museum was good. Bologna is definitely on my ‘to do’ list though. Been there before as well but didn’t get to the Duc museum. How the hell did that happen?
More serious then bloating is if no beer mat, when you pick the glass up it drips like you have wet yourself not a problem after a few
The Arena di Verona. What have the Romans ever done for us? Tomorrow evening we’ll be inside the Arena for a bit of kultcha! Aida by Giuseppe Verdi.
Aida by Guizippy Verdi. Can’t believe how poor some of the crowd are. On their phones and talking. Had to blow a fuse at them. Not come 1000km to hear their shit
I've not touchED the bikes during this August period so far until today that's with two rides on the 900SL / 996, hopefully they put a smile other people's faces.
Bought a new car, so contemplating when/ how to get over to France to run it in. September weekends are looking pretty busy, so I may disappear mid week for a few days.
Been to Lake Garda, very nice. The Italians do like to take money off you though. I knew that from previous visits but one ludicrous thing got to me. Pulled into a gas station on the way back, a guy comes out and starts filling the car up. I notice the price on the pump is 30cents higher per litre than anything I’ve seen since being in Italy. Not what I was expecting when I pulled in. ‘Yes’ he says ‘that’s the price for service’. Which I hadn’t asked for, I was about to gas it up myself. This was totally new to me. I don’t ever recall anywhere in the world loading the price of fuel for filling you up. So I told him to stop right there. I could cope with ludicrous drinks prices at the Opera. I could deal with the cost of drinks by Lake Garda. Usually in Italy they have a fantastic skill, to relieve you of large amounts of money and make you feel great while they’re doing it, so you give in with a laugh but €6 to partially gas up my car, give me a break. Now, about that new Ducati sir…..have you seen the price?
