Do yourself a favour and go to an independent specialist. I stay well clear of main dealers and use Carl Harrison in Norfolk, have done for years. Why? Because he genuinely takes pride in his work, Because he only does what's necessary, no more, no less. Because he doesn't charge the earth. Because he is invested in his customers and wants them to come back. I'm sure Nelly can relate to this and for others like these two gentlemen, there really is no comparison to the service you'll ultinately end up getting from an authorised dealer who are bound by so many other limitations. I'm not saying you'll get a bad service from the reputable ones, you just won't get as good a service as you will from an independent specialist and it will cost you a LOT more. Carl and Nelly are treasure troves of knowledge when it comes to Italian bikes and that is something that's gained through years and years of experience. Given the choice, I'd not even look twice at a main dealer.
Hi Nelly. Where are you based. Looking at getting my 1299 done so thought I'd ask here instead of start a new thread. PM if you don't mind. Thanks
On the 1299 it cost £1300. All my shims were replaced. Snells did it, so I dont doubt the time it took and their honesty about it. Tom even gave me some at cost. (Which is why I still travel 50miles to use them)
You could trawl through the Dealer &Workshop Reviews section but to my limited knowledge, Cornerspeed and Cellier BVT (aka Ducati John) are the only two remotely close to you. Andy
Go to Snells in Alton Hamps. Its not that far, i travel from J6/M25 to it for all mine. IMHO, best dealer. (I know motorapido are brilliant too)
