A Watch For The (minted) Fanboys..

  1. Not a square watch person myself, so not my cup of tea, visually.

And aside from the title of the advert, and some vague 3-spoke wheel evocation attempt (which is not unique to the 916), I struggle to see anything vaguely 916-ish about it, personally…

  4. More money than sense comes to mind here, also the best bit is the rear a little bit like the real thing.

  5. Last watch I wore the 12 was at the top, I’d find that very confusing at my time of life…

  10. It's too expensive to appeal to the midlife wideboys, who like to be flash on the cheap (£5k Rollie)...As you say someone will buy them.

  13. Gérald Charles Genta, was a watch case designer (the Nautilus retailed by Patek Philippe being one of his better known), who started his own brand in 2000. Sold out to a group of “investors” who now produce limited number runs of case designs, based on his legacy of case designs, using bought in movements and sold under his name. Seems to me like an archetypal, modern, designer brand creating bling for people with money and no taste :joy: Andy

  14. Don't worry gents, won't be long before you have to buy one of these, or similar to get a V4R allocation ;-)

  15. the watch world has gone a bit mad, its possible to spent £350K on a watch with a rubber strap

  16. £31 grand and the rubber strap will be perished and snap after a year.

  18. Big after market out there for vulcanised rubber watch straps, anything from £20 to £100 depending on which watch you want to put one on. Andy
