Gérald Charles Genta, was a watch case designer (the Nautilus retailed by Patek Philippe being one of his better known), who started his own brand in 2000. Sold out to a group of “investors” who now produce limited number runs of case designs, based on his legacy of case designs, using bought in movements and sold under his name. Seems to me like an archetypal, modern, designer brand creating bling for people with money and no taste Andy
