Hi fellow Ducatistas! I have a 2010 Ducati Multistrada 1200S that has previously been remaped for track. I have put the standard exhaust system back on the bike and would like to have a more "standard" map in the engine ecu as well as an active exhaust valve. Is it posible to buy an engine ecu of of eBay and swop it or is the old ecu married to the bikes immobilizer? Best /m
The exhaust valve is nothing but a source of problems, they jam and cause the bike to run badly. Most people want to know how to remove them! Most maps tend to help smooth out power delivery, why did you want to revert to the standard map?
Engine is running way too rich which makes it stutter at lower rpm. What I'm looking for is a smoother running engine, not an ekstra 5 hp. Speed limits in this country is no joke.. And an active exhaust valve for less noise in the city best /
I'm sure still have the original ECU from my 2011 MTS1200S ( same part number as 2010 ) which was removed before it was registered as I specced it with a full Termi system from new. I'll have a dig in the workshop..... If you're interested, I'm sure we can come to some arrangement! Drop me a PM.
@movoss Hi movoss, sorry but it looks like the ECU didn't survive our move from France to Spain, seems it was in the box that unfortunately went astray en route. Apologies.......
Hi Rushjob thanks for looking! Quite sure the same has happened here and that the second ecu is just lost over the years.. best /m
@movoss Hi, guess what? I've found the ecu in the bottom of a completely unrelated box to bike bits, how it ended up mixed in with kitchen stiff is beyond me! If you can still use it drop me a line with your address and I'll send it to you. Part no 286.4.175.1A
