Picked up yet more cat shit from the veg plots - they had even shat on the netting that I put over to stop them shitting there..... Didn't think photos in this particular instance would be appreciated...
It was Cat 4 or 5 over the Gulf of Tonkin, but predicted to be Cat 2 when it made landfall. Winds were predicted to be in the range of 40 to 60 km/h with gusts up to 100 to 110 km/h. Not sure what it really was eventually, but there is a whole lot of damage. Luckily where we are not much damage to property and, as far as I know, no serious injuries or loss of life, although in the coastal areas there were some reports of fatalities.
Took the overnight Liverpool to Belfast ferry. Very nice it is too. Then a nice drive down to County Meath from Belfast at 6.30am Sunday morning, no rushing to get to church it seems. In fact hardly a car on the road.
Painting our exposed rafters I pulled this out. No droppings, feathers or other clues. What do you reckon is nesting or living there? I will obviously block the hole up. Mainly moss and dry leaves.
Tested out a new water filter (Aqua Gleam) that connects to the hose, and doesn’t leave water spots when you wash the car or bike. Should make life easier.
