  2. Did an oil change, coolant change, air filter change and brake fluid change on my Monster 821. First time I’ve serviced one of my bikes and I’m really happy with the outcome - enjoyed doing the work and having the independence to do it myself!

  3. This arrived so I could finally turn the service light off the Gs. Couldn’t seem to change the service date with it though.

  4. Please update how you get on. I thought you could change service date with these. Need one for my 765.

  5. Update: user error, it needs the correct date setting on the bike before you can reset the service date. My bike thought it was 2016. All sorted now , great little gadget.

  13. Met a few mates just outside of Watford and spent the morning hooning around bucks way. Done just under 250 miles just got back and I am well and truly fucked. My bike fitness ain’t what it was when I used to ride to work every day that’s for sure.

Perfect riding weather though just a shame about the state of the roads.

  15. Checked with my grown up children to make sure they were not interested in any of my bikes or bits.No thanks dad was the reply.I now have the unenviable task of sorting out a whole load of bike bits, wish I had labelled some of them,as some I havn't a clue what they will fit.I also have two, possibly three bikes to dispose of.
I like collecting stuff but not so good at getting rid of it and dealing with the percentage of plonkers that appear on the usual sites like Ebay, and now on Car and Classic as well.

  18. Took the Monster 1200R out today, first time in a while after stacking loads of miles on the 990 Superduke. Dang, the Monster is a proper tool for hooning and back roads scratching. Great to feel some warmth in the sun too!

might have a cheeky spin on the SD tomorrow so it doesn’t feel left out!

  19. Re-fitted the smaller number plate to the MT09.

Replaced the oil sight glass and added one of those gearshift support brackets, whether it does anything will have to wait till the test ride.

  20. IMG_6917.jpeg IMG_6918.jpeg IMG_6919.jpeg IMG_6920.jpeg IMG_6925.jpeg IMG_6926.jpeg IMG_6927.jpeg I’ve not spent anytime on my modding of touratech pannier frames to fit my DesertX recently, so put a bit of time aside today. Managed to sort lhs to frame mounts , still need to fab forward mounts & rear brace & tweak lhs rear mount to lift rear of pannier slightly to match other side. Pics of progress.
