  1. I appear to have won an eBay auction for an ST2 battery tray

I only want the battery clamp and bolt from it :joy:

  3. Not sure why i got a dislike for my pannier frame fabbing progress? Anyhoos got the lhs front mount done today. Bit of a pita tbh, I didn't want to tack weld in situe, as it could blow electronics , it made getting it all lined up a lot harder. Just the rear brace and some tidy up needed.

  4. I once made a similar pannier frame for a mate...used a hot glue gun to hold it all in place, then removed for welding :upyeah:

  7. Had a ride over to Ducati Coventry to collect a new horizontal valve cover gasket, and 2 new bolts, perused the bikes in the showroom, they had the hideous lamborghini model, and the equally repulsive Bentley model on display

They did have the stunning V2 in black though :D

After that, had a blast over to Completely Motorbikes in Hinckley, to have a nosey around there, they got a nice looking Supersport in grey

  8. Checked coils and plugs on gixer. All seem good.

Also tested fuel pump flow which delivered 200ml in two primes of the pump (about 10 seconds). Standard is 167ml so good result.

  10. Took the Gixxer out again today, had to go up to South Normanton to take my eldest boy's pass certificate for his apprenticeship to him, so he can get his pay increase, then, on to see mum and dad in Kirkby in Ashfield, had a coffee and a chockie biscuit, then a visit to a bike night at a newish bike sales place in Pinxton

  16. Checked the K5 generator bolts. I have heard of a few coming loose. All good.

  17. I had a 'lucky' bolt in my jacket for years.
It was from my old GSX750 generator and was half worn through as it had come loose.
Good to see Suzuki improved the design since 1983....

  18. Just as I pulled in to Asda carpark in Hinckley, I called my local garage, just to double check the regs on early Mot's, I was right, it is a month earlier than the expiry date, well, 29 days to be precise

So, I asked when he could fit my K5 in for an early MoT, he said an hour :astonished:

Quickest trip round Asda the The Dragon has ever had :joy:

K5 passed, with no advisories :upyeah:
