996 996 Tidy Up

  1. Just had a delivery of an eBay purchase

I bought a used battery tray for an ST2

Just so that I could get this part, discontinued from the dealers now

After a good clean up, and possibly a coat of paint, that should sort out the previous battery clamp mod that has been done to the bike :joy:

  2. Intersting but too many enormous photos for those of us still using 20th century copper not-very-broadband.

  3. Apologies, pics taken on my phone, and uploaded to the forum on my phone

  4. Is it welded or brazed? I broke mine the same way and bought another one off here. I can weld, but this piece I believe is cast alloy so probably needs AC TIG welding (which I can’t do).

  5. I also need one of those, my current fixing is a massive zip tie.

  6. Ducati ST2 has the same clamp, I bought a complete tray with clamp

    Here's another....

  9. I can't remember who told me that they were the same part, but, I checked it for myself on the bike-parts-ducati website, the ST2 is definitely same part number for the battery clamp as the 996
