I'm fairly confident that I will never own an 80's Porsche 911. So when I decided to repaint my Supersport my decision making process went like this- I own a very original 92 851. Classic red and white. My 900ss is a bitsa. I think this gives me the excuse to do something different with the colour. I started looking at 70's and 80's 911 colours. I've settled on Casablanca Beige Metallic, used on the 911 in 1979 and 1980. I'm planning on using all the correct decals, so essentially swapping the red for the Casablanca. It might look turd! We'll soon find out.
Man, I love it! It's going to be distinct to say the least. I thought you might be heading for the shade on the Ducati in the coco advert with Keira Knightley...
I've been on the lookout for a pair of alloy straight through low mount exhausts for a while. I managed to pick these up for under £150 including delivery. I hope you can tell which one has had a dose of elbow grease. I'm thinking of thinning out my exhaust collection.
^ new one here; type PS15? Master Cylinders (ducatipaddy.com) EDIT: 2nd thoughts this is a bargain ; Type PS16, 82 euro + 12 shipping, at that price you'll pay no VAT or Import Duty Brembo Brake Master Cylinder 10462047 for Ducati SuperSport 900 91-97 (carpimoto.com)
Thank you. Neither are quite what I'm looking for. The caprimoto item is for a monster with the threaded hole for a wing mirror. You had me excited for a minute!
Really? Mega, thank you. An early 90's 900ss front brake master cylinder? I gave mine away tears ago. Which I now obviously regret!
Interesting (scary?) how automatic correction on our devices can also do Freudian leaps… « Years »… « Tears »?
Hi, thank you for the offer. I really need the rest of it though. So I'll pass. I do have a pair of 916/748 master cylinders. So I'm not without.
