It’s no guarantee of improvement. The Honda V4 is the same layout as the Ducati but it’s miles behind.
I know they were supposed to be in Kazakhstan or some such this weekend but its *funny how theyve left themselves with another 4 and a half day window to get from Europe to Indonesia by next Friday morning. Seems to happen every year with the same outcome.
Damned if they do damned if they dont really arent they, at least theyre not standing still feeling sorry for themselves i guess and will give them a better run at 2027.
I wonder how much extra help and oomph 93 is getting now he’s going to be a factory rider again next year? Was a long way back after such few laps. Don’t know how anyone can say this seasons been boring either, not as many overtakes admittedly but it’s tighter than a gnats ballbag. Maybe people need to watch more than just the race itself. Great entertainment today as most weekends/saturdays have been.
Just a shame crowd numbers seemed way down on last race weekend . But I suppose it’s inevitable when same track used twice in a row. Really enjoying this season. I reckon it’s just jaw dropping how good these riders are. To be able to ride as fast and consistently as they do lap after lap ,and deal with all the buttons and settings on the go is incredible in my eyes.
I can… simple as, the racing other than the odd one due to weather or other circumstances has been precessional and boring. Today was the same, all separated by between 0.5-1 second and just ticking laps off as fast as they could, no one was going to overtake
The racing hasn’t been the best but it’s still been exciting with the main two contenders dove tailing from one weekend to the next and being so close to each other in quali. Probably doesn’t help Ducati have won every round bar one either, but probably not the best place to mention that.
I just think it’s become incredibly precessional, the commentators are making the entertainment with the sort of ‘omg he’s so on the limit and closing him in by 0.5 tenth this lap’ just, not feeling it anymore. On the flip side, I can appreciate that in the old days it wasn’t great either, looking back at the early 4 stroke era there were guys in 6th place finishing a minute behind the leaders
You can’t help but wonder what hodgys watching sometimes when he comes out with stuff like “Jakes on for a podium and I think he could even win it” Let’s look at the evidence shall we; He hates the track He’s struggled in almost every session for the last two rounds to pull a decent lap time together 5th place was super human and the absolute best he could drag out of himself the last time out 2 weeks ago and he had a few gifts along the way shall we say I mean come on I know he’s your mate and that but lol Anyway that’s his slim chance of the title gone now and probably top 3 too. Which is obviously a shame after all the recent good work.
David alonso dedicating his win to his old school teachers in m3 was great. “They didn’t just teach me academics they thought me values that made me who I am” lovely stuff
THAT was a race! Nothing boring at all. Basti rode so well. Pleased to see the respect shown in parc fermé at the end, after some interesting arm signals from Martin when he crossed the line Bagnaia returning last weekends gift to Jorge Game on.
Something not right with Peccos starts atm if he’s on pole you usually lay your house on him going into t1 first, not been the case recently including today. Which I suspect is when things started going to shit. He only won one out of the five flyaways last season too, Jorge won two
He got a bit overconfident imo. Well known track to him and he was really pushing. Same in the sprinnt, except he got away with it then. Dont often see him out of the seat and out of shape, but he was Saturday..
