Hi, would be receiving my Panigale V4S this weekend and quite excited . I am planning to put Akra full system exhaust the low down version. I would like suggestion if that is good enough compared to under tail version. Would also like suggestions where in London it’s best to get full system exhaust fitted for Ducati Panigale
The software download that accompanies the Akrapovic (new and second hand) can only be carried out by a Ducati authorised workshop and fitting the exhaust takes a minimum of a day. I would look at London dealer prices before committing to buying an exhaust. Andy
Hi Andy I had contacted two non Ducati dealers who said they would do it but just waiting for the software to be available for the new 2024 Panigale V4S model . So I don’t think fitting Akra for Ducati is limited to Ducati dealers
Buying the official Akra kit from Ducati comes with software only available with that kit and can only be uploaded using the dealer diagnostics. It is coded to the VIN of the bike. There are options available aftermarket such as the T800 software though. Be aware though that the aftermarket software or tunes will only modify the fuel mapping. The official Ducati software package also updates the chassis systems. Finally, you may already know, that the aftermarket route will invalidate any Ducati warranty on the bike.
if your looking at best of both worlds, in regard to the exhaust variant maybe im working on something that could interest you.. the low down version of the exhaust is possibly a lot easier to come by and also cheaper, and then you can get a 3/4 system from SPF that fits the Akrapovic manifolds..
