Toprak cleared to ride in practice tomorrow but will be assessed by the medics straight afterwards, before being allowed to race. Toprak Razgatlioglu fitness decision revealed ahead of Aragon World Superbike | World Superbikes | Crash
Friday morning, raining outside……WSBK free practice on TV. Coffee machine doing overtime when I should be at the gym. Ah well I’ll go later
Toprak is another level, he is making them all look silly…. If he’d jumped on the Ducati and did this then fair enough but a few weeks ago he had a collapsed lung and he’s on a bike that barely finished in the top 6 last year and he’s 0.5 seconds faster than most in practice 1 and although not near the top in practice 2 I think he’s saving his self
SL22 owes his air bag sponsors a bevvy or two cos that looked like an absolute wheelchair for life job without one coming out of the final turn. Back flop from the gods. Fair play for getting back on the bike after that. On a positive note .7 of a second covering the first 12 riders with 5 different manufacturers involved is what we all want to see I think.
Both BMW’s smashed it today. Ducati, BM, Honda all in the frame. Funny enough all with equally high top speed. Never been a Rea fan but you have to feel for him. Will this be his last year? Will he want to ride any more when it’s obvious he can’t win?
I think he will continue next year, but he will exercise a clause on the contract to get out and he’ll go to Honda, there you go, totally made that up! But at least the bike has potential, rather than being absolutely at the end of its lifespan. It annoys me so much that just because they stuck some fisher price wings on the r1 they are calling it the ‘new package’ the ‘updated platform’ it’s literally the same bike Rea has had all year
Bloody hell what a race. Can’t help but feel sorry for bulega but he was never winning the title. Sam lowes (again), Jesus. Happy for Ianone but if he ran out of fuel will he not get penalised for minimum weight etc?
Great race and Petrucci steeping over the mark occasionally what bad luck for bullega and ianone giving toprak some back and judging fuel to the perfect finish
Anyone know what toseland was on about when he said bulega was only .2 off peccos pole time? It was the round where they relaid the track and only marquez could get a time out of it.
That BMW is easy as fast. Even Bautista with his minimal weight last on couldn’t catch Geoff on the straight. Great to see a few put braking manoeuvres on toprak. If they don’t want him to run away with it they need to make big hard moves and disrupt his rhythm
Exactly so why couldn’t he pass/draft ianone on one of the longest straights on the calendar? Didn’t manage it once and he had a fair few cracks at the whip.
Don’t know if it’s fitness issue or set up (gearing) but he didn’t do him on the brakes either and it was noticeable how feeling was catching him in the braking zone over the last few laps
Sore loser time lol, I’m so glad alvaros had the season hes had he annoys the shit out of me sometimes and the races he wins tend to be boring as fuck. Hence why everyone wanted the minimum weight rule. Felt sorry for bulega again but let’s face it if Toprak doesn’t win the title it’ll be the biggest injustice in the history of the sport. I only saw his crash at Le Mans this weekend when they kindly re showed it in slow motion. We need to thank the gods he’s still with us. Edit: meant magny cours obviously not le mans
