In other news, travelling for any distance at more than 90mph quicky becomes murder. I did about two hours on the bike at high speed and my thighs were aching from constantly fighting against the wind blast prying them apart. As for my neck, the wind blast is ridiculous and it's impossible to get out of it. I love my Hyper, but it's definately not a tourer!
My guess is about 130 but only if you have more neck than a silverback gorilla , Had an indicated 110 on my KTM DUKE LC4 (probably optimistic speedo) but it was a bit manic at that flat out effort. Obviously not on a public road ocifer!
Yeah, I squeezed out 130 and that definitely seemed to be it. All academic because you can't travel any distance at that speed!
I did over 2,000 miles touring Spain and Portugal on mine with a group of GS's, VFRs and a Tiger. I had the Ducati Performance soft tank panniers and tank bag plus a Puig touring screen fitted so I could sit in a bubble on the extended high speed (cough) motorway blasts. It wasn't my comfort but the limited fuel range that once did for me That said, I did then go out and buy a Multistrada
I salute your resolve. Yes, the tank range is also pants!!! Absolutely love it for local blasts though.
