Complete, undamaged 1199R for breaking. Bike is in great condition, right up until it threw a rod!! Bike has some nice extras, 70mm Termi system, Ducati Performance rear sets, carbon swingarm protector plus all the original standard R carbon. Wheels have brand new Super Corsa, literally never been ridden on. Engine has thrown horizontal rod, so therefore is scrap, possibly bits available from engine, clutch etc, but I haven't stripped the engine to assess. Would prefer to sell in component groups, ie, bodywork & tank, both wheels ( including discs & tyres),dash & lock set, frame with V5, exhaust system with heat shield & so on. Far too many bits to list separately, but message me if there's something particular that you need. Thanks.
Engines are rare mate. Could throw a standard 1199 engine in it, but would that be a desirable bike??
I saw this bike on eBay and did a little digging as it looked tempting. Info off the forum suggested 1199 R engine has titanium rods, lightweight flywheel and 500 more RPM over a standard motor.
I think gen 2 does but gen 1 was standard motor. There was a lot of sarcasm about it not being ‘a proper R’ when launched as it was an S with a few trinkets, but not close enough to know if that’s fact or not internet fact lol Edit: quick google suggest it has ti conrods

Its a forum member bike, but cant remember his Tag on here... its the second time the engine has gone on this bike, and it was handed back to the dealer.. he wasn't willing (understandably) to have to go through a large repair again.. shame as we lost a Ducati owner due to lack of support from Ducati UK for standing up for a customer who had had a engine rebuild under warranty that seems to have let go.. again.. !
