Keeping original parts in case it lowers value drastically, but prefer the "R" look. Rear wheel is a Hypermotard Ds1000, front still 3 spoke but seeking a five spoke. Seat unit from Ali Express , I applied the decals and mesh. But for 80 pounds painted and delivered from China it's not bad at all. considering some termigs , or have the Gianelli carbon sleeved, not sure yet. This bike is mint , swapped blindly for a t595 , it came with the billet rear sets , exhausts , new. Tyres new , brakes , carbon , etc that an OCD owner had for a few months. It owed him appx 8500 with what he spent . Full Oberon clutch and cylinders , full new braided lines , belts replaced etc the list goes on. And for my t595 that's a damn good deal. Last I heard, he spent fortune on the t595 and moved it on. I will keep this 748 as it's as new. Might even ride it , but probably get an old school 80s gsxr1100 ( if anyone has a swap ) as nothing left to do to this apart from selling or store it .....
Looking good! I wouldn’t worry about dressing it up - loads of them are like that. If I were being picky…not keen on the smooth shiny clutch pressure plate!
Just looked on eBay, some pressure plates that look more matching to the rear wheel appearance.....and ten minutes job to swap so I may do it yet. Not sure whether to go ally or black ally
I’ve bought the Chinese Abs fairing kits for a few bikes and as long as you choose carefully they are great, I’ve had some fitted on bikes for several years now and they still look spot on.
I have two tailpieces. They sent another by mistake so got a good spare too! Some are iffy paint quality but like you say , choose the high review ones and they can be pretty good!
Do they fit on my link pipes.....read somewhere the 2002 models have slight differences? Not sure if my Gianelli ones were complete system or just the cans to the link pipes . I guess they would be same though?
I just spray paint the original plate in black, looks better than the manky grey and saves buying an expensive part that offers no benefit. Both mine are that way.
I bought a full fairing kit from MFS in China, for a 2008 GSXR750, the quality and fitment are very good, so much so, that I have just ordered another full kit for a 2010 GSXR750
That's good. If the paint is good then there is no reason not to. The recent stuff fits perfectly. I still wonder how they do it for price. A painted red white with gold stripe monoposto tail unit , clear coated lacquer finish , delivered from china 79 quid. What was the paint finish like on the gsxr panels? I'm thinking of buying a scruffy bodywork bike and treating it to full panel set . 350 quid .......can't go wrong
The finish was excellent, although, I did manage to scratch the front fender when fitting This is the kit that I have just ordered, was £410 for the full kit, less a discount they were offering Website is https://www.motorcyclefairingsale.co.uk/
I'm only looking at carbon tbh, my Gianellis are virtually brand new. I have termigs the same in my garage .was thinking about getting resleeved in carbon
I enjoy bikes I can constantly improve, but can't see me doing any more to the Ducati. Moved on to my old smoker to mess with that I have nearly finished......
