  1. 350z’s are great looking cars, I have one in the garage but without the graphics.

  2. As I mentioned in another thread, I have a shed of my own, a prehistoric post-apocalyptic 1990 Transit diesel-based motor home which my cricket teammates have nicknamed “The Supersonic Shed on Wheels”. Notwithstanding its habit of shedding (no pun intended) fixtures and fittings every time I go away (the latest one was the driver’s window falling down inside the door two days into a trip around Norfolk), it’s actually quite reliable and it has a lot of sentimental value, but the bodywork is an absolute mess and getting that sorted and having it resprayed would cost triple what it is worth. So, I have been starting to think that it might be time for it to go to the great campsite in the sky……...until I had one of n my brainwaves.

I’m going to get a graffiti artist to do something with it. And it’s only going to cost £650!

This is The SS Sow currently.

  3. I like the standard one, but that body kit is the most vulgar thing on four wheels.

  6. Some of those disabled cars had handlebars instead of a wheel.

  7. My dad drove Reliants in the 70s because he only had a bike licence. It was very embarrassing. He started off with an olive coloured Reliant Regal van, then had a yellow Regal which, not being a van, had back seats and windows so my brother and I didn’t have to sit on orange boxes in the dark, before working his way up to a blue Reliant Robin. At some point c.1976 he must have simultaneously taken his car test, taken a step up the ladder at work and taken leave of his senses because he bought an Austin fucking Allegro. Unbelievable.

  8. My old man had a Robin van. Always interesting in the snow as the front wheel bounced sideways on the rut in the middle of the lane

  10. And rightly so, as it was the car which finally and definitively proved the maxim “you can’t polish a turd”

  14. It’s pretty pointless on our roads, but an epic machine nonetheless.

  16. Sadly, only the early models had that iconic steering wheel, so my old man’s car* just had a bog standard round one.

    * AEK 852 T, so 1978 not 1976 as per my last but one post.

  17. It was down in that there London village that I took the picture.
Like you say pretty pointless on UK roads but especially in London centre, around a Mile from Euston Station.
