Perhaps a purely theoretical question, but because I have a trip tomorrow to collect my son’s new bike from a dealer who happens to have one of these in stock, I got wondering as to whether a meaningful discount might be achievable. Pipedream or reality?
They're in limited supply. Probably a Pipedream but there's nothing preventing you from trying. Nothing to loose. I think the Pikes Peak is a better product overall for the price but that's just me. YMMV.
I can’t see any dealer giving you a discount on a new RS but it may be there’s a used one around. I think Ducati Manchester may have one, give them a call and ask for Martin.
Absolutely no chance of a discount. You should be able to get a deal on accessories & free fitting from most dealers though.
So, we are rapidly approaching the down-season, it’s a £30k+ plus bike, their costs are going only one way, better cash in the bank than not………no chance, really?
Interesting though. All the reports for the RS and group chat is that they are awesome bikes which I don't dispute. Just quite a few available now, same can be said for the PP I guess. I wonder if they know about an imminent 'facelift' RS as the facelifted PP was kept fairly quiet? Or not as easy to live with as you'd hope? I've said elsewhere on here, I'm keeping the PP over the RS and an order has gone in for the new PP. The idea of performance is still in my head so I think a second bike will appear at some point. My dealer has a 2016 1199 R which has been sat there for a while and that particular V-twin engine was just epic........ divorce anyone
That one at Ducati Manchester isn’t badly priced, particularly given the spec. The seat is an abomination though!
This one in bmw dealers looks good.....seat can go https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/11632602...SNokuzbQn2&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
Ducati Worcester have one at silly money assuming they are still allowed to sell. I would want to walk in with the cash and walk out with the bike though. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/20500348...kxhZYBdTpe&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
And I would be very surprised if you can’t get some kind of discount in the current market. Lots of dealers really struggling.
I think they've closed down completely, along with the other 21 bike shops within the group. They were still taking deposits up to the weekend but only by bank transfer, no cards accepted, they knew what was coming for sure.
