  1. I use Safari and always logged in on my iPhone.

  2. I now use DuckDuckGo, which keeps me logged in, but Safari used to work fine that way, too.

I personally don’t think it’s hardware/Op System/Browser specific and we’d take forever to go through all permutations.

My guess is that it’s the forum software which has a bug.

  3. still getting loads of awards, stopped trying to work out if they are genuine or not which is what I was afraid of, i.e. they have no meaning anymore. sorry to read that people also have login and advert problems, I must be lucky as it's always streamlined and easy on here, also on Safari.

  4. so verdict of the forum poll is that it's only aliens so nothing to worry about. :upyeah:

  7. yes, I'm confused, you are subscribed aren't you Red?

  8. Yes mate but as previously i cant stay logged in so a pretty pointless benefit (unless i want to sell something of course).

  9. ..but are you getting adverts although Subscribed?

  11. You don’t from my experience get the adds if you login from another device as long as you’re in the login/signup page. Only if you venture beyond and into the forum pages.

  12. No but not the point if you cant stay logged in lol.

  13. Unfortunately that is the way of software nowadays - there are far, far, far too many permutations to test a release fully. What commercial/industry does (or at least should do), which is where I worked for 30+ years, is to only test some combinations and mention in the release notes what system configurations are required to successfully run the application.

Many of the more difficult to debug issues I've looked at are the result of incompatibilities between applications that out of necessity talk to each other to provide a new feature. Additionally each application will invariably rely on third party libraries to support new features and there also needs to be compatibility between these.

e.g. a forum add on may specify how and where a screen can be touched for a rating to be given but the browser might not have the ability to understand this because it's third party libraries aren't at the same release as the add on used to provide the new feature.

So which code has the bug? the forum, the add on, the browser or the third party library?

And still people love to use such software for financial dealings....

  14. totally lost me, but never mind. :upyeah:

  15. That is weird. Had to look it up. I have disagreed on three post on Tuesday about tires which I have not even viewed. Very strange. Around that time I cannot even been drunk.
