  2. Come on then, we're waiting...

  3. Not home yet :-/Unfortunately for you lot, I'm on all the pics too but will post up in next few days.

  4. I actually got a couple of hours in on the 999 in the Jura. Scenic twisty roads with little traffic.

I think the EBC brake pads are excellent - definitely better braking than whatever was in there before, although not so much of the whizzing sound under hard braking - which I rather liked.

I am also liking the Pilot Power 3 rear tyre. The bloke who fitted it insisted that the correct pressure is 2.9 bars, which seems massive - that's 42 psi. But what can I say? The bike is now extremely nimble and I can't fault the grip - good enough for some knee down corners, so I have no complaints.

  5. Bit more CBR work. Doesn't seem much but the fairing side panel was in a terrible state. [IMG]

  6. been knocking down old walls to treble the size of my garage space........fook me they were hard work.

  7. You probably familiar with the road I crashed my old CBR on then, it's the little road that goes to woolacombe. just past the golden coast holiday there is a left hand bend just as the road starts to drop down hill. With too little sleep, too much red bull and suffering from stress I realised there wasn't a cat in hells chance of making the corner just about as I hit the rev limiter in second...

  8. I quite fancy a 600. Don't fancy a swap for a fuglystrada do you..?

  9. I'd suggest that swap would be heavily biased in favour of me! This is my second CBR 600, they are great bikes, my preference is for the steel framed bikes, especially the first and second shape.

  10. Get it mot'd and I might surprise you...

  11. Must admit, I had been itching to get hold of another CBR for a while. A grand should get a good one. Great all round bikes, and cover mileage with ease.

  12. Nursing a motorcycling injury :( it hurts loads and it could only happen to a girl !
I'm not saying what as its so obscure and embaressing !!

  13. You need to slow down over those speed bumps

  14. Pics, or it didn't happen!

  15. Get some thermals woman and stop riding at night the temp drops them
    :)

  16. Last evening I decided to take my old girl the long way home ( my old astra)
To give her a run as she felt a bit like she was holding back and started like a tractor that morning hmmmm

Well after a few up and down hills 5 miles from Hereford she started pinking and a huge cloud of grey smoke billowing out the back going up hill
Great!!! Pulled in lay-by and called for rescue.

Dad came and had a look she looked fine started lovely but still smoke coming out exhaust

Well fearing the worst and about to scrap her here comes rescue
Checked the water all fine checked oil a bit full hang on over full
My dad had checked oil couple weeks ago and some reason had topped her up ( must been senior moment)

Drove her home with truck behind me lots of blue smoke and smoke coming out bonnet now!!!

Checked again looks like a big gulp of oil has been taken and dumped down the exhaust

Got home and the rescue man checked carb lots of oil in it.
Decided to drop the oil out
Well!!! I have a washing up bowl full of hot oil looking like 8 litres of oil came out
Looks like she got very over filled

No wonder she was running so rough

Will see how she goes today

Only waited an hour to be rescued too so big thumbs up

  17. Today, I gave a big thumbs up to the Safety Camera boys (in my case, a girl) after being NIPPED.

I will be working away next month and the one thing I cannot do - is do without my licence. A phone call to the camera folks resulted in me speaking to a very nice girl who arranged for me to be able to email my reply to the NIP, forego any offer of speed awareness training there and then (which I won't be around to do and the offer of which would fatally delay resolution of the issue) and hopefully get me on the way to sending off my licence for processing, and, most importantly, getting it back, before I go off on my overseas posting.

A really helpful attitude, which deserves recognition. It wasn't their fault I employed poor obs on the date in question.

  18. they are flexible regarding the educational recalibration loz.
you could have made arrangements usually and saved the points and fine.

only if youve already done it will you be screwed !!

  19. Today I have mostly been fucking about with BT and getting very, very irate.

    They are clueless.

  20. Took the day off to take No1 son for his birthday present.

Conveniently got car dropped off to get exhaust sorted and went to Liverpool on the train.

Have just got a layer of flooring down in the shed in preparation to move the tortoise out there (cables in, damp proofed, part insulated, new felt roof, 3 coats of paint...)

Now off to rugby training, then a few reports to catch up on for work when i get back.

Other than that, lazed around a bit.
