Just bought a used Maxton GP10 rear shock in as new condition for my 916 Bp, looking forward to noticing the difference it makes compared to my old tatty Showa...does anyone on here have its recommended settings for a 93kg rider?..
Just got my new lift delivered yesterday, here testing with the old Triumph. I have 3 bikes that need some pleasant maintenance work this winter: - Triumph: valve clearances checked - ST2: valve clearances checked (belts replaced this summer) - MTS 950S: belts replaced and valve clearances checked
Decided I’d get bikes fired up but monster dead, I put on change every month or so and was fine before. Annoyed. So decided I’d sort out all my batteries and do what I use to do to get easy access power in the middle of the garage for two chargers. Also hooked Porsche battery up to proper changer as that seemed dead even tho it lives on a maintainer (which is mega annoying!) Also decided I’d put the new adjustable pegs on the monster, except they are too small ode to fit and look a little long. Ffs nothing ever easy? Is it. This is why I hate doing stuff on bikes and cars anymore. I find it so frustrating as it never, ever goes to plan and I always have to get something else to resolve it.
If you get no joy from the forum you could try emailing/calling the factory direct. They may be a little slow in replying but I bought a pair of brand new shocks from them and they couldn't be more helpful when I thought their original choice of spring was too firm. It's rate should be printed on the spring itself.
Replaced the old bi-metallic strip flasher unit on the Darmah that barely flashed when at idle with the headlight on with an all singing & dancing unit that is timed and therefore flashes at the same rate, a pretty fast 100 per minute, regardless of the load on the system. It was advertised as having the same 'clicking' sound as the old unit - which would be great if I could hear it above the sound of the Conti's
Sorned the Multistrada. That won’t come out until April, especially as I’m planning to ride USA coast to coast in March. It’s a loose plan but this time I think it will happen.
Sounds great, did similar years ago when I got married in San Francisco, albeit in a car. What is your route plan?
i took a harley round the rockies few years back. only for a few days and one and only time but loved it at the time
I reckon they work in the USA, what with those long straight roads and a max permitted speed of 55mph.
